QUALIFYING BRMs

To line up for the start of Paris-Brest-Paris 2027, all participants must complete qualifying BRMs (Brevet des Randonneurs Mondiaux). In 2026, these rides are optional and only determine how early you can pre-register. In 2027, completing the required series is mandatory in order to take the start. The main points are summarized below.

BRM 2026 (Optional)

In 2026, successfully completing at least one BRM allows you to pre-register earlier for Paris-Brest-Paris. Your longest BRM completed in 2026 determines the date from which you may pre-register. The longer the distance, the earlier you can pre-register and choose your starting wave. Riders who do not complete a BRM in 2026 may still pre-register later.

BRM 2027 (mandatory)

In 2027, before the start of Paris-Brest-Paris, you must complete the full series of BRM 200, 300, 400, and 600. These four BRMs are mandatory. These are minimum distances: a BRM 300 can replace a BRM 200, and a BRM 1000 can replace a BRM 600. The key requirement is to complete four BRMs that cover these minimum distances.

HOW TO REGISTER PBP 2027

Registration for Paris-Brest-Paris takes place in two steps: optional pre-registration, followed by final registration for riders who complete their four qualifying BRMs in 2027.

The number of participants will be limited to 8,000, of which 2,500 places will be reserved for French riders until March 31, 2027. After that date, any unclaimed places will be released to all riders.

PRE-REGISTRATION (OPTIONAL)

Pre-registration allows you to choose your starting wave, depending on the places available.

Pre-registration for Paris-Brest-Paris will open gradually from January 2027 for riders who completed at least one BRM in 2026. The longer the BRM, the earlier the pre-registration window opens (RM events of 1200 km and more count as BRM 1000).

Riders who do not validate a BRM in 2026 may still pre-register from March 27, 2027.

FINAL REGISTRATION

Final registration for Paris-Brest-Paris Randonneurs will run from May 29, 2027 to July 4, 2027. Please note that, on the day of final registration, riders must already have validated at least 3 of the 4 mandatory qualifying BRMs for 2027. The 4th BRM must be validated before July 4, 2027.

Riders who did not use pre-registration may register directly from May 27, 2027 in any available starting wave, subject to the remaining places.
